Nurse Practitioner & Physician Assistant
Adams County Health Center (ACHC) is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. ACHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Council, Idaho. We are looking for a goal driven team member who appreciates autonomy, variety, and flexibility. Our medical providers are supported by an entire team to include, behavioral health, dental, optometry, physical therapy, care management, laboratory, and a pharmacy. ACHC takes great pride in improving the lives of people in our communities and was recently recognized nationally for increasing access to affordable health care!
Our patient population is all ages, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults all who would benefit from another medical provider. It keeps the day interesting.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Advance Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant Licensure in Idaho
- Experience in a clinical, Family Practice or similarly oriented setting. Graduates welcome to apply.
- Must maintain active Drug Enforcement Administration licensure.
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) to be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Preferably Bilingual - English/Spanish-Not a requirement
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess patient and institute appropriate therapy within the guidelines established by the approved facility, state, and federal regulations and standards of care.
- Performs therapeutic procedures such as administering injections, suturing, managing wounds and infections, etc. Patient assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic measures will be carried out in close association with the clinic physicians, appropriate specialists, and other care agencies in the community.
- Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
- Collaborates with the Medical Director and/or other FNPs for patients who are beyond normal scope of practice/level of knowledge prior to instituting or prescribing therapeutic measures.
- Provides immediate emergency treatment and/or refers as appropriate.
- Assists with meeting quality measures by completing tasks related to ACHC initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Patient Centered Care:
- Facilitate health and disease patient education.
- Support patient self-management of disease and behavior modification interventions.
- Coordinate continuity of patient care with external healthcare organizations and facilities, including referrals to specialty care providers, and continuity of patient care with patients and families following hospital admission, discharge, and ER visits.
- Promote clear communication among the care team and treating clinicians by ensuring awareness regarding patient care plans

Adams County Health Center (ACHC) is now hiring a full-time Dental Assistant. We are looking for a positive team member who is flexible and enjoys variety in the work environment. A dental assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Dental Director or dentist on duty and will assist the dentist in the routine handling of patients, instruments, supplies, and materials. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Graduation from accredited school of Dental Assisting or minimum 2 yrs. clinical experience in general dentistry.
- Prior dental office experience is preferred.
- Bilingual preferred, but not required
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology; skill in the use of the tools and equipment of the dental assistant profession.
- Capacity to act in a professionally courteous manner when interacting with patients, providers, and other employees.
- Excellent customer services skills
- Able to organize, work, and function effectively in a busy environment.
- Able to follow all HIPAA laws and regulations.
- Pleasant telephone and patient reception manner.
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports related to the work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist dentist with all dental treatments and procedures that is within the scope of dental assistant training.
- Document all dental procedures according to dentist’s instructions.
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment for each patient.
- Take x-rays of patients' teeth.
- Take impressions of patients' teeth for casts.
- Obtain patient dental records.
- Obtain, maintain, and document patient medical history.
- Provide dental education to patients about dental health and continuing treatment.
- Perform scheduling of appointments, answer telephones, collect payments at time of service, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
