Dentist

 Job Summary:

Supervises dental staff in the absence of the Dental Director and provides day-to-day supervision of dental staff under the direction of the Dental Director. Performs the daily responsibilities as general dentist. Reports to the dental director and the Adams County Health Center Inc. (ACHC) Executive Team (CEO and CFO).

 Minimum Qualifications:

 Qualifications:

  • The Dentist shall have the ability to organize, coordinate, and monitor work assignments of staff. 
  • Ability to delegate responsibility and authority to staff.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and departmental responsibilities. 
  • Ability to create and maintain an atmosphere that encourages motivation, innovation, and high performance among departmental staff. 
  • Ability to work independently and perform duties efficiently. 
  • Ability to understand socio-economic status and lifestyles with respect for individual differences. 
  • Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team. 

Essential Physical Requirements:

  1. Sitting/Standing/Walking: Approximately 40% of the time is spent standing or moving about the clinic and office areas. Balance of time, approximately 60%, is spent working while seated. 
  2. Speaking/Hearing: Cultural and/or regional accents are acceptable. Clear diction and acute hearing are necessary for responding to patient questions and responses and providing instruction and directions to staff and patients.
  3. Vision: Corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to review various written information and to perform dental tasks and procedures.
  4. Stooping/Kneeling: Occasional stooping or kneeling is necessary. 
  5. Reaching/Handling: Good manual dexterity is necessary. 
  6. Lifting/Carrying: Occasional lifting and carrying of boxes of supplies and/or equipment of up to 40 pounds may be required. 

 Responsibilities:  

  1. Under the direction of the Dental Director, supervises dental staff regarding job performance and appropriate dental care; confidentiality and professional behavior.
  2. Responsible to attend clinic management meetings. 
  3. Participates with clinic staff to plan services and development of on-going annual and multi-year goals. Provides, with staff participation, program objectives.
  4. Participates in dental-related quality assurance activities including agenda, chart review procedures, follow up to finding, which may include additional staff training, corrective or further inquire, and reports such QA minutes to the Executive Team. 
  5. Responsible to develop and maintain the dental monthly schedule in a manner that protects clinic-patient coverage. 
  6. Monitor Dental Team objectives. 
  7. Assist with monitoring and adapting of clinic-wide objectives. 
  8. Participate with local, state, regional, and national associations as appropriate and feasible. 
  9. Provides Dental Care to patients of ACHC and supervises staff in the participation of that care.

Pharmacist

 Job Summary:

Oversee the daily activities of the Pharmacy department within a Federally Qualified Health Center. Assist customers with their health care needs by filling prescriptions and providing excellent customer service. Assure that all tasks are performed in a safe manner consistent with established policies and procedures and state and federal laws. 

 Essential Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an accredited pharmacy program
  • Current, unrestricted licensure through the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to pass random drug testing
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
  • Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

 Physical Requirements:

  1. Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, climb and kneel.
  2. Regular use of fingers, handling or feeling of objects, tools or controls.
  3. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
  4. Environment: 100% indoors with normal indoor temperature and humidity.
  5. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  6. All sensory functions (speech, vision, touch, and hearing) corrected to near normal range.

 Responsibilities:  

  1. Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, applicable to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. 
  2. Oversee the daily activities of the Pharmacy department.
  3. Counsel customers with regard to medications filled at the pharmacy.
  4. Handle and resolve customer issues, complaints and questions to build customer trust and loyalty.
  5. Comply with all federal and state laws and regulations. 
  6. Interact with health care providers to gain additional information about customer and prescriptions to be filled. 
  7. Maintain appropriate security of the Pharmacy department. 
  8. Maintain reports for controlled, outdated, and recalled medications, and prescription and customer files. 
  9. Manage pharmacy inventory at acceptable levels to fulfill customer needs.
  10. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures for controlled substance dispensing and record keeping. 
  11. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  12. Maintain pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications. 
  13. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
