Adams County Health Center Offers Diabetic Prevention Program Informational Sessions

The Program Coordinator of the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) at Adams County Health Center (ACHC) is offering a free informational session about the program for the community in the ACHC conference room on Tuesday, August 20 at 5 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 4 at 1 p.m.

The purpose of each informational session is to learn more about DPP, who may be eligible for the program, and to talk about signing up for the no-cost-to-the-participant course that will begin at ACHC in September of 2024.

Adams County Health Center Opens Pharmacy Drive-Up Window

Healthcare professionals at Adams County Health Center (ACHC) began using the pharmacy drive-up window for the first time on July 1.

The brand-new pharmacy drive-up window is officially open for business Monday-Friday between the hours of 9 A.M. and 5 P.M. It is located on the front side of the building and can be accessed by vehicles via the Berkely St. entrance to ACHC’s parking lot.

Susan Warner FNP-C Achieves Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist Status

The Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (CBDCE) announced that Susan Warner FNP-C from Adams County Health Center in Council, Idaho achieved Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) status by successfully passing the Certification Examination for Diabetes Care and Education Specialists. Candidates must meet rigorous eligibility requirements to be able to take the Examination. Achieving certification status demonstrates to people with diabetes and employers that the health professional possesses distinct and specialized knowledge, thereby promoting quality of care for people with diabetes. Currently, there are over 19,900 diabetes care and education specialists who hold CDCES certification. The certification designation was previously known as Certified Diabetes Educator or CDE.

Adams County Health Center Inc. Moves to New Building

Healthcare professionals at Adams County Health Center Inc. (ACHC) started seeing patients in the new clinic building on March 4.

To make that possible, members of the ACHC team had to start by closing the dental department  on February 27, 28 and 29 to move equipment. Then on March 1, the entire clinic was closed for the final push to get the rest of the essential equipment from all the departments into the new clinic.
